The new 11,500 square meter passenger pier of Liszt Ferenc International Airport was completed on June 23, 2020, and was opened to the traveling public on August 12. Passengers can now spend their pre-flight waiting time in beautiful, comfortable conditions, in a spacious environment, just an arm's reach from the aircraft stands. The new pier was completed in a record time of 339 days. The modern Pier 1, which replaced the previous simplified delivery gates, increased the capacity of Terminal 2A of Liszt Ferenc International Airport by several thousand square meters.
